Abstract
The existence of a two-vibron (amide-I quanta) bound state has been ex amined within the framework of a two-site realization of the Davydov m odel. The parameter space of the system is divided into two regions wh ere the nature of pairing and the character of bound states are determ ined by the quite different physical mechanisms, The validity of the s emiclassical approximation was discussed.
