Abstract
Sinusitis is common, complicating 5% to 10% of upper respiratory infec tions in childhood. This article examines the anatomy and physiology o f the paranasal sinuses of developing children, reviews current guidel ines for the diagnosis of sinusitis, and addresses the available medic al and surgical options for treating paranasal sinus disease.
