Abstract
Interdisciplinary fields pose particular problems for collection evalu ation. A model is proposed for describing the materials needed by inte rdisciplinary scholars, and the application and limitations of both tr aditional and newer evaluation methodologies to interdisciplinary area s are discussed. Further measures are suggested as valuable supplement s in evaluating interdisciplinary areas.
