Powder and film of amorphous antimonic acid (Sb2O5 . nH(2)O) are prepa
red by a direct reaction of Sb(O-n-C3H7)(9) With H2O2 aqueous solution
at 0 degrees C. Thermal decomposition behavior of the powder in air a
lmost coincides with that of the previously reported one which was pre
pared by hydrolysis of SbCl5. Electrical conductivity measurement of t
he him is carried out by using an alternating current complex impedanc
e method. The conductivities at 20 degrees C in the relative humidity
range of 0.1 to 1.0 are in the range of 3 x 10(-6) to 1 x 10(-3) Omega
(-1), cm(-1), whose values increase with increasing the relative humid
ity.
