H. Bricout et al., BIS(AMINOPHOSPHINE)-NICKEL COMPLEXES AS EFFICIENT CATALYSTS FOR ALKYLATION OF ALLYLIC ACETATES WITH STABILIZED NUCLEOPHILES, Tetrahedron letters, 37(34), 1996, pp. 6105-6108
The alkylation of a variety of allylic acetates with dimethyl malonate
catalysed by nickel-diphosphine complexes is reported. It is shown th
at in most cases bis(aminophosphine) type ligands lead to much more ef
ficient catalysts than dppb and other usual diphosphines. The use of c
hiral ligands during the alkylation of 3-acetoxycyclohexene affords di
methyl cyclohex-2-enylmalonate in up to 40% ee. Copyright (C) 1996 Pub
