M. Renil et M. Meldal, POEPOP AND POEPS - INERT POLYETHYLENE-GLYCOL CROSS-LINKED POLYMERIC SUPPORTS FOR SOLID SYNTHESIS, Tetrahedron letters, 37(34), 1996, pp. 6185-6188
Two types of macromonomers were synthesized by reacting mono/di sodium
derivatives of polyethylene glycol(1500) with vinylbenzyl chloride an
d epichlorohydrin. These monomers were hulk homo-polymerized by free-r
adical or anionic polymerization, respectively, to afford two differen
t types of crosslinked polymeric supports in high yield. The resins we
re tested for solid-phase peptide synthesis by standard Fmoc/OPfp/Dhbt
method, using a Rink amide linker. The peptides were cleaved from the
support using 95%TFA-H2O in high yield and purity. The pure peptides
were characterized by MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry and and amino acid a
nalysis. Copyright (C) 1996 Elsevier Science Ltd
