Abstract
The first entry to optically pure 4-amino-3-hydroxy-pyrrolizidine and 4-amino-pyrrolizidine alkaloid frameworks is provided by a highly dias tereoselective [2+2] cycloaddition of alkoxyketenes to N-Boc-prolinal imines as the key reaction.
