LiF(Mg,Cu,P) TL detectors have been re-used in two ways: without annea
ling and with an annealing of 90 s in a TL reader in the dose range of
3 x 10(-4) - 0.1 Gy. No change of TL sensitivity and dosimetric prope
rties was observed. The residual TL signal without annealing was about
4% after each measurement, and the coefficient of variation of the se
nsitivity was 2.2% after ten cycles of re-use. The residual signal wit
h TL reader annealing is between 0.16 and 0.23%. The simplified re-use
procedure is of significance if it is applied properly to the routine
applications of personal and environmental monitoring.
