Abstract
In this paper we construct a new type of Haar wavelets, called tau-wav
elets of Haar, using the arithmetics of the solutions tau = 1/2(1 + ro
ot 5) and sigma = 1/2(1 - root 5) of the algebraic equation x(2) = x 1.
