Abstract
Aloin and aloe-emodin can he isolated from Aloe leaf products by solve nt-assisted supercritical fluid extraction and determined by silica ge l thin layer chromatography, using automated multiple development for aloin and normal development for aloe-emodin, with the solvent systems described, The methods proposed are suitable for the screening of Alo e leaf products for human consumption to ascertain conformation with r egulatory requirements.
