ANALYSIS OF TABLETS CONTAINING NAPROXEN AND IBUPROFEN BY HPTLC WITH ULTRAVIOLET-ABSORPTION DENSITOMETRY

An HPTLC method has been developed for the quantitative analysis of na proxen or ibuprofen in tablets using preadsorbent silica gel plates wi th fluorescent indicator and scanning of fluorescence-quenched zones o f samples and standards, Pharmaceutical analgesic tablets were analyze d and the results compared with the label declarations, Precision was evaluated by performing replicate analyses and the accuracy was valida ted through a recovery analysis of a sample of tablet spiked with ibup rofen.
