Abstract
Let Omega be a three-dimensional body with an interior two-dimensional crack sigma. It will be shown that the location and size of the crack is uniquely determined by measurements on the boundary of Omega. More over, the physical behaviour of the crack will be identified. Our mode l is the following. Inside the body, with the exception of the crack, we assume a harmonic potential. A current flux will be implemented on partial derivative Omega and we measure the voltage potential there.
