Abstract
Type specimens of ten species of deep-sea conoidean gastropods from So uth Africa described by Barnard in 1963 are described and illustrated. Lectotypes are designated for those species represented by syntype se ries. A new genus, Abyssothauma, is established for Moniliopsis psilar osis Barnard, 1963.
