Preliminary results are presented on the use of a pulsed radiography s
ystem for detecting the existence of connector corrosion occurring und
er a layer of opaque cold shrink. This system meets some very stringen
t requirements on cost, portability, safety, ease of use and measureme
nt speed. A discussion of future work, both in progress and planned, i
s also included. There is an emphasis on experimental results with rad
iographs included for a variety of shipboard artifacts.
