Abstract
The paper presents a system-wide continuous harmonic state estimator o f three-phase asymmetric power systems, with development of its reduce d mathematical models and algorithm, as well as its application to a N ew Zealand test system. The complete harmonic information throughout t he power system, including location and even type of the harmonic sour ce, is estimated from a few synchronised, partial and asymmetric measu rements at selected buses and lines far from the harmonic source.
