Abstract
To investigate the estrogen receptor expression of cells in cervical c arcinoma without malignant glandular elements, 34 cases were investiga ted. The average age at diagnosis was 41.8 years (17-72 years). Nucleo solic estrogen receptors were measured in all of these cases. Measurem ents were made using a dextran-coated charcoal technique involving a s even point Scatchard's plot analysis. 25 cases of cervical intraepithe lial neoplasia, seven human papillomavirus and two microinvasive cervi cal carcinoma tissues were analysed. There was a correlation between m enopausal status, histotype and histological grade with estrogen recep tor status.
