The extraction equilibria of Ni(II) from nitrate medium by mixtures of
the active component in the commercial LIX 63, 5,8-diethyl-7-hydroxyd
odecan-6-oxime (HDEHO), and bis(2-ethylhexyl)phosphoric (HDEHP) or di-
n-octylphosphinic (H[DOP]) acids dissolved in toluene have been studie
d. Large synergistic effects have been obtained in both cases and mixe
d metallic species have been proposed to explain the experimental extr
action of Ni(II) by these mixtures. Equilibrium constant values of the
extracted species are also given.
