Abstract
In the present study, we examined the ability of the orexigenic peptid e neuropeptide Y (NPY) to stimulate feeding when administered into the lateral ventricle of baboons. No increase of either meal size or tota l daily food intake was observed over the dose range tested (1-30 mu g ) These results suggest that, in the baboon, NPY may not be an orexige n as it is in other species.
