Recently, a new state of the quantized radiation field - the intermedi
ate number squeezed state (INSS) - has been introduced in the literatu
re: it interpolates between the number state \n] and the squeezed stat
e \z,alpha] = (S) over cap(z)\alpha], and exhibits interesting nonclas
sical properties as antibunching, sub-Poissonian statistics and squeez
ing. Here we introduce a slight modification in the previous definitio
n allowing us a proposal to generate the INSS. Nonclassical properties
using a new set of parameters are also studied.
