Abstract
Two patients who had excimer laser photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) f or myopia developed bacterial keratitis, one from Staphylococcus epide rmidis and the other with a negative culture. Both were treated with t opical antimicrobial agents. One eye recovered an uncorrected visual a cuity of 20/20. The other was left with a moderate subepithelial scar and an uncorrected visual acuity of 20/150.
