TECHNICAL PLANNING FOR STEINEXPO96

The planning and implementation of the technical organization and of t he actual staging of the STEINEXPO '96 requires a great deal of planni ng work. Mapping the basalt quarry at Homberg/Nieder-Ofleiden, the loc ation of the trade fair, into a computer model, processing the booking s, preparing demonstration plans, organizing the erection and. dismant ling, and staging the fair itself - the largest demonstration fair in Europe - involved technical engineering tasks which are being solved b y an experienced team of engineers under the leadership of Univ.-Prof. R. D. Stoll, Director of the Institut fur Bergbaukunde III (Institute for surface mining) of the Aachen University of Technology in collabo ration with all the partners involved.
