Abstract
Photoinduced dissociative electron capture of a sterically hindered m- phenylenebis(phosphinous chloride) in the presence of an electron-rich olefin at 110 K affords a novel triplet ground-state phosphinyl dirad ical which is fully characterised using EPR spectroscopy.
