Abstract
1,3-Bis(benzimidazol-2-yl)benzene-capped alpha-cyclodextrin 1 is synth esized by reaction of 6(A)-6(C)-bis-O-mesitylenesulfonyl substituted a lpha-cyclodextrin with o-phenylenediamine and subsequent cyclocondensa tion with isophthaldehyde 4, and its highly resolved NMR spectra are d escribed.
