Abstract
By reaction with the aurating agents [Au(PMe(3))]BF4/O3SCF3 or [{(Me(3 )P)Au}O-3]BF4 in molar ratios 1:1-1:2 or 1:3, sodium methylthiolate Na SMe is converted into dinuclear [Au(PMe(3))(SMe)](2) 1, tetranuclear [ {MeS[Au(PMe(3))](2)}(2)X(2)] (X = BF4 2a, O3SCF3 2b) and the novel tri nuclear [MeS{Au(PMe(3))}(3)][O3SCF3](2) 3 complexes.
