Abstract
The AutoGene computer system includes programs for complex analysis of nucleotide sequences: detecting Alu and LINE elements; similarity sea rch over nucleotide and amino acid sequence databases; revealing FIS; predicting promoter regions, exons, and polyadenylation sites. The sys tem envisages a flexible scenario and a convenient display of the outp ut for several programs at once.
