Abstract
A study was made of the efficiency of plant transformation with Agroba cterium tumefaciens strains carrying a binary vectors composed of a Ti plasmid (virD2(+) or virD(2-)) and the H22Kneo construct (oriT-mob-re taining derivative of the broad-host-range plasmid RSF1010). The pH22K neo DNA was shown to be efficiently transferred to the plant cell nucl eus even in the absence of a functional VirD2.
