Abstract
Mass transfer of Te(IV) between an aqueous and organic phase was studi ed in a modified Lewis cell. The organic phase was composed of tri-n b utyl phosphate as extractant in de-aromatized kerosene at varying volu me ratios. Experimental data were correlated in the form of Sherwood n umber, Schmidt number of the aqueous phase and Reynolds number and vis cosity ratio by dimensional analysis, The correlation obtained is: k(1 )L/D = 0.187 Sc-1(0.33) Re-0.97 (mu(2)/mu(1))(1.6)(1+Re-2 mu(2)/Re-1 m u(1))
