Abstract
Formation of columnar structure in the ingots of the Nd15Fe78B7 alloys is possible only when the primary solidification of the iron-based so lid solution is suppressed. To this end, the temperature of supercooli ng should be below the temperature of the first peritectic transformat ion of the alloy.
