Abstract
Thin films of iminiumdi(phthalocyaninato(2-))lanthanidates(III), (PNP) [Ln(Pc(2-))(2)] (Ln = La...(-Ce, Pm)...Lu) react with hydrogen chlorid e yielding the green acid adduct [HLn(Pc(2-))(2)]. xHCl. The typical p i-pi transitions of the Pc(2-) ligand are observed in the UV-VIS spec tra (B: similar to 14500 cm(-1); Q: similar to 30300 cm(-1)); these ar e broadened and shifted to lower energy with respect to those of the p recursor. A N-H stretching vibration at similar to 3170 cm(-1) as well as a H-N-C deformation vibration at similar to 1200 cm(-1) in the MIR spectra are diagnostic for these HCl adducts.
