Abstract
We have experimentally demonstrated antimonotonicity, the concurrent c reation and destruction of periodic orbits in a driven nonlinear elect ronic resonator. A manifestation of antimonotonicity in one-dimensiona l systems is the formation of dimples in high iterate return maps. Our maps computed from 16-bit resolution time domain data unequivocally e xhibit the formation of such dimples.
