Abstract
Superantigens of mouse mammary tumor virus induce a strong cognate int eraction between T cells and B cells. In addition to amplifying the vi rus-infected B-cell pool, this superantigen-driven interaction leads t o the differentiation of virus-specific B cells into plasma cells. Suc cessful interaction between T cells and B cells is required for comple tion of the viral life cycle.
