Abstract
The interaction between two perpendicular flows generates several vort ex systems. In this Note, we propose to describe the structure of the mean flow resulting from the interaction between a jet emerging from a thin slit and a cross flow. Many non-intrusive experimental optical m ethods have been used to obtain qualitative and quantitative results. This topological study will show the complex mechanism of the mixing o f the two streams.
