Ca. Veracini et al., THE STUDY OF WATER DIFFUSION IN THE LAMELLAR PHASE OF WATER-AMMONIUM PERFLUORONONANOATE MIXTURES, Chemical physics letters, 263(1-2), 1996, pp. 228-234
The diffusion of water in the lamellar phase of water-ammonium perfluo
rononanoate mixtures has been measured with the help of an NMR-based m
ethod, which is an analog of the tracer method. Comparison of the data
obtained with the results of a pulse field gradient nuclear magnetic
resonance study has been conducted in terms of the structure of lyotro
pic liquid crystal. The difference in the water diffusion coefficients
obtained by different techniques has been attributed to the non-linea
r time dependence of the mean-square displacement of a molecule in an
inhomogeneous system.
