In this epilogue the various contributions to the special issue of Hum
an Movement Science on the relevance of ecological and dynamical appro
aches to perception and action for the theory and practice of rehabili
tation are discussed. The discussion is preceded by some introductory
remarks with respect to rehabilitation and the two approaches in quest
ion. It is concluded that these approaches provide new ways to concept
ualize and analyze movement disorders, and lead to promising attempts
to improve therapies.
