Abstract
The band structure and magnetic properties of the ordered Co2-xNixTiSn Heusler-type alloys for x = 0, 1, and 2, are studied by using the spi n-polarised TB LMTO method. We found that the Ni2TiSn system is parama gnetic. The self-consistent band calculations for the systems with vac ancy (square) have shown that Co(2-x)square(x)TiSn is ferromagnetic bu t for Ni(2-x)square(x)TiSn we did not observe any magnetic moment.
