Z. Othman et al., EVALUATION OF HYDRAULIC EFFICIENCY OF WASTE STABILIZATION PONDS (WSP), Journal of radioanalytical and nuclear chemistry, 206(2), 1996, pp. 285-294
Steady state conditions are assumed in impulse response analysis and w
ell explained in literature. for the tracer test to realise the result
s, but this is not always the case when dealing with the wastewater tr
eatment plants, where now processes are always in unsteady state condi
tions. Beside stimulus response, the now rate has to be measured at th
e same during experiment. Several figures were prepared to demonstrate
the influence of variable now rate, these figures are important in or
der to understand the changes of impulse response by variable now rate
. The unexpected change in the flow rate should be strictly observed t
o avoid misinterpretation the impulse response results. The base infor
mation in data treatment for variable now analysis of impulse are pres
ented to assist in data treatment and to obtain more practical perform
ance of the WSP.
