Thermodynamic properties of the Cu-Ti system were optimised using expe
rimental thermochemical and phase diagram data from the literature, le
ading to a consistent set of Gibbs energy parameters for the thermodyn
amic description of its equilibrium phases. Non-stoichiometries of the
compounds Cu4Ti and CuTi were taken into account by using appropriate
sublattice models. The calculated phase diagram and the thermochemica
l properties are compared with the corresponding experimental data.
