A method has been developed for the determination of trace amounts of
Ga in ores and alloys by instrumental neutron activation analysis. Irr
adiation of sample and standard has been carried out in Cf-252 with th
ermal neutrons having a flux of order of 8.5 x 10(7) n cm(-1)s(-1). Th
e sensitivity limit is less than 61.5 mu g for an irradiation period o
f 3 days.
