Abstract
N-Arylmethylidene-2-cyanoacetohydrazides react with arylmethylidenemal onitriles to afford [1,2,4]triazolo[1,5-a]pyridinones, and with both m alononitrile and ethyl cyanoacetate to afford N-aminopyridinones.
