We show that an exact St symmetry can be imposed on quark mass matrice
s and is not in conflict with available experimental data. We obtain a
constraint, 2.3517 x 10(3)\V-cb\\V-ub\ greater than or equal to \eta\
. Further tests may be performed in neutral flavor violation processes
t --> u, c and b --> d, s in a multi-Higgs model, with a typical Yuka
wa coupling strength of order 10(-3)-10(-2).
