Abstract
We examine the parameters that govern the motion of the reaction front in the A + B --> C reaction-diffusion system with initially separated reactants. We claim that three different parameters determine the dir ection of motion of the front at different time regions. We predict th e surprising possibility of two switches ill the direction of motion o f the front, as well as a situation of a stationary front after a sing le change of direction.
