Abstract
The methanol extracts of Drosera rotundifolia and D. spathulata obtain ed by in vitro micropropagation yielded the new pigment 2-methylnaphth azarin (5,8-dihydroxy-2-methyl-1,4-naphthoquinone) 5-O-glucoside, whic h is an artefact formed from rossoliside (7-methylhydrojuglone 4-O-glu coside) during extraction with methanol.
