Abstract
By imposing natural geometrical and kinematical conditions on a confor mal Killing vector in Bianchi I spacetime, we show that a class of axi symmetric metrics admits a conformal motion. This class contains new e xact solutions of Einstein's equations, including anisotropic radiatio n universes whose expansion isotropizes at late times.
