Abstract
Vinca rosea Linn (Syn. Cathranthus rosea G Don) is an ever blooming he rb-belonging to the family Apocynaceae. The alkaloids Vincristine and Vinblastine from V. rosea and allied species are in use as Potent anti tumor agents. (Goth, 1978; Tyler et al., 1981). The study of the analg esic, anti inflammatory, local-anaesthetic and anti-convulsant effect of the crude extract of V. rosea, is presented in this paper.
