EFFECTS OF INTER-SE MATING ON PRODUCTION TRAITS IN HOLSTEIN X GIR CROSSES

Crossbreeding has been used as a national policy for cattle improvemen t. At present various grades of exotic cattle inheritance are existing in respect of Holstein and Jersey crosses. In order to maintain the l evel of inheritance inter-se mating has been used as breeding method. While doing inter-se mating various pros and cons are required to be e valuated in respect of performance of existing level of inheritance.
