Abstract
The diffusional evolution (growth or shrinkage) of gas-filled pores du ring the hot pressing of a ceramic is considered. II is assumed that t he gas is insoluble. An expression is derived for the dependence of po rosity shrinkage on rime, and on the process parameters: external pres sure, temperature, and quantity of gas initially in the pores.
