ALKALOIDS FROM CEPHALOTAXUS-HARRINGTONIA

Four alkaloids, 5'-des-O-methylharringtonine, 3'S-hydroxy-5'-des-O-met hylharringtonine, 5'-des-O-methylhomoharringtonine and 5'-des-O-metbyl isohaningtonine, were isolated from the leaves and stems of C. harring tonia var, drupacea, Their structures were established by H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopic studies, chemical conversions to known alkaloids an d applying the advanced Mosher's method for the secondary alcohol moie ty.
