A method has been proposed for the spectrophotometric determination of
diflunisal (5-(2,4-difluorophenyl)salicyclic acid) using continuous f
low analysis based on the formation of the methylene blue-diflunisal i
on associate and its extraction into chloroform. The calibration curve
was linear in the concentration range 1 . 10(-7) to 2 . 10(-5) mol .
l(-1). The determination limit (10 sigma) was 1 . 10(-7) mol . l(-1).
The sample analysis rate is 15 samples per hour.
