Abstract
Increasingly stringent regulations on emissions (like the German TA-Lu ft) and efforts to improve processes and products have led to the wide spread use of single and twin-screw devolatilization machines. Multisc rew systems are under development They will be used in reactor technol ogy, where high residence times are required, for post-condensation or residual devolatilization.
