Abstract
The synthesis of the new high density energetic compound [3',4':4,5]be nzotriazolo[1,2-a]benzotriazol-13-ium inner salt 1,11-dioxide (7) was achieved in three steps (37% yield) from -tetranitrobenzotriazolo[1,2- a]benzotriazolo-6-ium inner salt(4). The compound 7 was found to be th ermally stable up to 274 degrees C and was insensitive to impact (hamm er/anvil test).
